Greetings Everyone,
Happy Holidays!
Okay..I know you all know that summer is my favourite season but
I have to confess I do love Christmas which happens to fall at the
start of winter..my least favourite season.I started thinking about
why I love this time of year and came up with the following : the
amazing food such as turkey dinner with all the trimmings, christmas
pudding, the decorative cookies, dark fruit cake and of course egg
nog with rum and nutmeg. The music..how can one not love those
inspirational carols even if you're not religious...my favourite is
"The Little Drummer Boy"and last but not least getting
together with friends and family.
LIFE AT POPLARS
This past fall was a rather wet one
especially October and we had a few serious wind storms which
brought down quite a few large tree branches. It seemed to me that
I was always picking up downed branches.
The wildlife seemed to enjoy themselves..the young deer were
constanly running around kicking up their heels which was fun to
watch..they reminded me of little kids. The turkey younguns grew so
quickly and are now almost as big as their parents. Mr.and Mrs.
Muskrat did a fair bit of swimming back and forth on the pond
stocking up their den with food for the winter and our new
Mrs.Raccy has built her new nest .All and all things are well here
at Poplars.
ON THE ROAD
This past fall was a busy one for "The
Legend In Black Show". We toured around Ontario visiting such
places as Conestogo ,Perth, Pembroke, Aurora, Gananoque,
Kincardine, Midland, Barrie and Vaughn.
Our shows were well received and we look forward to returning.
Well that's all for now and I want wish all of you a
Peaceful,Joyful Holiday Season and Best Wishes for 2012 !
